On April 12, 2026 at 10:15 AM Jim and Lois Shapiro will perform "Romance" by Camille Saint-Saëns as part of "Music Sunday" at the Friends of Unitarian Universalist Society Newton, located at 1326 Washington St. West Newton, MA. The service is free and open to the public.

On Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026, the Brass Consortium, founded and directed by Jim, performs as a quartet at St. Andrews Episcopal Church, 79 Denton Road, Wellesley, MA. Easter services are at 9 and 11 AM, are free and open to the public.

Jim performs with organist/pianist Michael Kraft at the annual Christmas Eve Service at First Church in Salem, MA, at 7 PM. The service is free and open to all.

The Hillyer Festival Orchestra with Jim as its long-time Principal Horn, performs its annual Holiday Pops concert in Marblehead at Historic Abbot Hall on Saturday December 13, 2025 at 8 PM.

Tickets for both balcony seats and table seating on the floor will be available beginning Thursday, November 12.

Jim performs with the MIT Summer Philharmonic Orchestra in a Performance of Mahler's massive Symphony No. 6. The concert takes place on August 1, 2025 at 8:00 PM at Kresge Auditorium on the MIT campus. The event is free of charge and no tickets are required. Jim performs with the Hillyer Festival Orchestra for July 4th celebrations at Derby Wharf in Salem, MA. It is a free event, with thousands of people attending, so come early and bring chairs and/or a blanket. The concert begins at 7:30 PM with  an exuberant display of fireworks after nightfall.

The Rotary Club of Marblehead Harbor’s Holiday Pops concert will take place on Saturday, Dec. 9 in Abbot Hall., 188 Washington Street, Marblehead, MA. Maestro Dirk Hillyer and the Hillyer Festival Orchestra, Jim Mosher Principal Horn, will present an evening of seasonal music. The evening begins at 7 p.m. with a champagne reception for all ticket holders, and the concert will start promptly at 8 p.m. Maestro Hillyer will conduct the Festival Orchestra, presenting holiday music from many cultures.

The concert is an opportunity for family and friends to enjoy great music, and away to kick off the season with family and friends. Holiday candles and wreaths will decorate Abbot Hall’s auditorium, adding to the festive scene of round tables on the floor and seats with great views in the balcony.

Symphony By The Sea presents an all Beethoven program highlighted by Symphony No. 3 by Beethoven, the “Eroica”. With its unusual scoring for 3 horns, they are featured prominently throughout the symphony, particularly in the famous Scherzo section of the 3rd movement.

All concerts by Symphony By The Sea take place in the wonderfully restored Cabot Theatre in downtown Beverly, MA. Maestro Donald Palma is the esteemed conductor.

The Chorus and Orchestra of Saint Anne’s in-the-Fields church performs Gabriel Fauré’s lovely Requiem in its chamber version of 1893. This piece is a favorite of Jim, who will play the short horn solos.
